Character:
白色重质无定形粉末。无臭。无味。在1100℃以上形成四方晶体,在1900℃以上形成立方晶体。一般常含有少量二氧化铪,与碳酸共熔生成锆酸钠,锆酸钠遇水能水解成氢氧化钠和几乎不溶于水的氢氧化锆。溶于2份硫酸和1份水的混合液中,微溶于盐酸和硝酸,慢溶于氢氟酸,几乎不溶于水。半数致死量(小鼠,腹腔)37mg/kg。有刺激性。

用途  白热煤气灯罩、搪瓷、白色玻璃、耐火坩埚等的制造。X射线照相。研磨材料。与钇一起用以制造红外线光谱仪中的光源灯,厚膜电路电容材料,压电晶体换能器配方。纳米级氧化锆用作抛光剂、磨粒、压电陶瓷、精密陶瓷、陶瓷釉料和高温颜料的基质材料。高纯4N级用作特种玻璃和光学纤维,高折射电镜的玻璃片和节能光源的添加剂。
