质量标准:【产品介绍】KLK2 is a serine protease produced by
secretory epithelial cells in the prostate (1). It is
a glandular kallikrein that cleaves Met-Lys and
Arg-Ser bonds in kininogen to release Lys-bradykinin
(2). KLK2 can activate the proforms of PSA
(prostate-specific antigen) and urokinase type
plasminogen activator and inactivate plasminogen
activator inhibitor-1, suggesting a possible role in
a proteolytic cascade associated with prostate cancer.
Thus, it may promote tumor growth, and metastasis
and inhibition of KLK2 activity may, therefore, slow
down tumor spread (1).
